How to use this site

Hover your cursor over the different headings on this menu and sub headings show up too. If you see an arrow on the sub-heading, you can hover over that to see links to more pages. Click on the one you want to be taken to.

We use this “Wellbeing” logo on all the pages except the martial arts pages, where the top logo changes to say “London Chinatown TaeKwonDo.”

This box gives you
the latest news for the section you are in.

This is the page headline, which tells you what the page is about.

In the “find out more” box on the lower left hand side of the page you will find links give you more information. Those links are usually, but not always, to other parts of our site.

Sometimes the link will be in the form of a “go there!” button, or a photograph, which you can click on to find out more. If it doesn’t say where it’s going, look at the main text, directly to the right of the button.

There’s a lot of information on our site, which we do hope you will find interesting, informative, useful, and fun!

To help you find your way around the site easily, we’ve given all the pages many of the same characteristics. You can look around the explanations on this page to find out about what everything does.

In the
“we recommend” box on the lower right side of the page you will find links to other people’s sites, for more information or things to enjoy related to the topic on the page.

A word about our colour scheme.

The colours on our site are chosen for being particularly auspicious. The green represents the Chinese Community Centre where we were founded, the red represents good fortune, and the yellow the warmth of the sun - what could be more wellbeing than that?

Using black text on a yellow background is actually easier for most people to see than black on a white background. On the other hand, our red and green menus might be difficult for a small number of people to distinguish - so we’ve designed the colours to change if you hover your cursor over it.

Speed.
With all the information on our site, it might take a little while for the pages to load if you are not using a broadband connection. Please give it a little while - it will be worth it! You can also opt to use the tools menu at the top of your screen to block pop-ups. This will stop you seeing most of our photos, but make the site work quicker. Broadband users should have no trouble with site speed.

Each page has a “flash” banner with photos that help identify which part of the site you are in. If you can see this message, you can’t see the banners! As long as you are using broadband, you should really see them - they’re are great! Your internet browser is probably using “pop up blockers” which you need to turn off. Look under the “tools” menu at the very top of your screen. Or, you might need the free software - click here.

On the right of the banner, it also tells you the section you are in and the page you are on.
